When will you add the DJI Osmo Mobil 8P to the preferred gimbals?
I haven’t tested the DJI Osmo Mobile 8P myself and don’t plan to do so soon. If you already own this gimbal, you can give it a try. If not, I wouldn’t recommend buying it just for FoloCam. The Comitok Mogo with remote is only $45 on Amazon and performs similarly to the other gimbals.

Have you completed the NFC pairing? For all DockKit-compatible gimbals, NFC pairing is required for DockKit to work. DJI’s own app may use Bluetooth only, so even if the gimbal appears to be connected via Bluetooth, that isn’t enough for FoloCam to connect.

Are you planning updates like analyses or player tracking in short notice?
Game analysis and player tracking are part of the long-term plan, but right now I’m focused on improving ball tracking, so those features may take a while.
I used the 8P as well and it seems its not possible to use the remote control and Folocam at the same time. If I activate the screen mirroring to the 8P remote then I get a “Gimbal not ready” error in Folocam. If they can’t both be used simultaneously then the 8P doesn’t make much sense over a cheaper gimbal with DockKit like the Osmo Mobile 8.
Also how large is the screen on the remote included with the Folocam kit? And is it possible to stop/start recording or adjust the gimbal, for example if it lost track of the ball and needs to be moved, with the control? These features would all be gamechangers that would make the longer delivery time and shipping costs to Europe worth it to me.
The Comitok Mogo remote included with the FoloCam kit doesn’t have a screen. It does allow you to adjust the gimbal with the control, but it doesn’t have a button to start/stop recording.
Is there any possibility that a remote start/stop feature can be added in the future? It seems to lose track of the court during timeouts and has to be manually adjusted to get back to following the action after play resumes.

I ordered the lifetime subscription with the Comitok gimbal now. I keep having issues connecting to the 8P with Folocam. I have to forget the previous pairing each time then tap the NFC spot a hundred times before it connects and is available for Folocam. I hope the Comitok connection works better but with the 8P screen mirroring incompatible with Folocam the 8P really doesn’t make sense for me.
The basketball game today with 1x zoom and fixed tilt worked almost perfectly. The ball stayed in view the whole game with one short time the camera searched back and forth for a couple seconds before a foul shot. One issue that was upsetting though is my iPhone apparently ran out of storage during the 3rd quarter but got no notice in Folocam other than the “low storage” when I started a new recording for the 4th quarter. I clicked on “Continue” and it seemed like it was recording only to find out afterwards it saved a 0KB file. A larger notice or even an audible alert for this situation would be good because with the phone up high on a tripod its not easy to see the screen at times.
