Hello!

I saw the Folocam gimbal listed an Amazon and after looking through footage I had some questions before purchasing.

1. What is the best tripod height for recording 11 v 11 soccer?

2. Does the app need internet to record (if streaming is not needed)

3. What options are available to ensure the iphone does not overheat when recording, especially in hot summer weather or become drenched in rainy / snowy weather?

4. Is there a Facebook group to help with questions and guidance similar to Ballercam or Xbotgo?

Thanks in advance. The videos look promising, but want to make sure we make the right choice, especially since my son and husband will be going overseas from the U.S. to Europe to play for an indefinite length of time.

What is the best tripod height for recording 11 v 11 soccer?

FoloCam doesn’t require a specific tripod height for good tracking performance. You can even hold the gimbal by hand and it will still track well. However, for better viewing, I’d suggest using a tripod around 12–13 feet tall.

No, no need for internet if you only want to record.

What options are available to ensure the iphone does not overheat when recording, especially in hot summer weather or become drenched in rainy / snowy weather?

Overheating: there have been some reports of overheating when filming in direct sunlight. I’d suggest using a tripod umbrella to block the sun, removing the phone case, and positioning the tripod so the sun is behind the camera when possible.

Rain/Snow: it is possible to wrap the entire gimbal in a plastic bag, but it has not been tested yet.
