Please confirm the proper set up: Insta360 gimbal, tripod, subscription to Folocam. Anything else? I will be using this for soccer. Often there are no stands as this is all youth and adult rec level soccer
Those are all you need. But which model is the Insta360 gimbal? It must be Insta360 Flow Pro or Flow 2 Pro. If it is Insta360 Flow or Flow 2, then it is not supported.
Thanks for the update. I just ordered the Flow 2 Pro just now.
For a cheap but very workable tripod solution, we use this one https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0F8B71P6R. It works well for a light setup. The finish scratches easily, and if you clamp the legs too tightly, the largest center column can stick. Otherwise, it has been solid for the price. I leave about 4" of each segment unextended, which seems to improve stability.
The 17’ Veo carbon fiber tripod is terrific but much more expensive https://support.veo.com/hc/en-us/articles/19245436434321-Introduction-to-Veo-carbon-fiber-tripods. XbotGo’s NT4 Pro carbon tripod looks interesting, especially because you can hang a center weight, but I’d wait to see how the new leg setup performs before relying on it https://xbotgo.com/products/xbotgo-nt4-pro-carbon-fiber-tripod-12-8ft.
I prefer the cheaper tripod’s knob-style segment locks over the twist locks on the carbon fiber units; they’re faster and easier to secure. I also recommend using weights all the time, even when it doesn’t seem windy, because a light breeze can noticeably affect tall tripods.
I have the Veo 17’ carbon tripod and it is amazing. Made by Manfrotto. I paid $299 from amazon and the xbot 13’ carbon is $250. It looks like junk compared to the veo and only $50 cheaper.
I just got your subscription now. I have a Eucos 62 tripod stand. Planning to record the first soccer match this Sunday.
